Review: I recently bought this unit, used it at couple gigs already and I had to make a review to let you know why I like it. First because it has a Bluetooth feature, the other is the price point. Third is the quality sound and EQ feature with 16 effects . Overall just what I needed, looking forward to enjoying it for a long time. Build quality is not bad, hard plastic all around, easy to use. Both xlr and 1/4 inputs for each channel. Features solo headphone independent cue buttons for each channel. The functionality is great for dj or band, great features with efx send and return. Looking forward to enjoy this mixer for a long time.

Review: Oh dear. I had high hopes for this device but it’s really not up to scratch. There is audible noise through the headphones and the effects are really basic and not really useful. And to cap it all the rubber feet (for which there are places reserved on the underside and without which the items rocks on the desk), were missing. There is also noise on the left output fader. Sadly, this item is going back. This is the first time I’ve ever returned an Amazon purchase.

Review: I’ve had many mixers and I think this one is just perfect. I read the bad reviews about static, bass not sounding good and dead on delivery. I can’t speak to the last one but the other two don’t seem to be an issue for me. Quality lows and highs are important to me and I’m pleased with the sound it produces. There is no static on inputs. For me this board provides the perfect amount of flexibility for a simplish and small setup. (two speaker outputs, mics, keys, guitar inputs) The bluetooth feature is perfect for playing music in between. This is the second one I’ve purchased. The first was actually stolen.

Review: Here is a review on the Phenyx Pro PTX-15 mixer. I have used this mixer for the last week in many applications such as a Mobile DJ, Karaoke night, Emcee for a Corporate event, and for recording in my home studio. Here are my pros, cons, and suggestions for future consideration. #phenyxprogearsPros:1. The 48V on each individual channel is great. I like that I only feed power where needed. A nice touch.2. There is plenty of gain on each channel for a condenser mic. All of my mics sound good and no noticeable hiss when adjusting the gain a bit higher3. The onboard ‘post’ 5 band eq eliminates the need for an outboard unit in most applications. This eq is very responsive and gets the job done well.4. The sliders are smooth and feel very solid. The are responsive to adjustments and feel like they can take daily use.5. The USB recording and playback functions work very well and the ability to control the previous and next functions on my laptop playlist is great.Cons:1. The effects are not very good. They are useable but they are not gonna add much to your mix. If used sparingly, they get the job done.2. There is a low mid hum when the unit is running idle. It is not really noticeable in a live setting, but it is present in the studio/podcast setting. It comes through a bit on the recording as well. I think it is in the effects, but I can’t get rid of it. Even with every knob and slider completely off.Suggestions for future consideration:1. I think the RCA outs are unnecessary as you can record out via the USB. I think this would be better served as a channel 5/6 input. Maybe with 1/4″ jacks. This would serve the DJ and Karaoke host by giving a way to connect a dj console and leaving XLR space for mics. Perhaps combine the Left/Right Main ouput sliders into one and using the remaining slider for a channel 5/6 volume.2. A channel gain clipping LED would be useful.3. Indention stops on the channel EQ, Aux, Effects, and Pan knobs at the 12 o’clock position. They are very useful in a live setting to quickly indicate what the settings are in a dim lit environment.This is a decent mixer for the price. I would suggest it for anyone needing a budget friendly mixer. The added EQ, user friendly USB functions, and the sound quality might just be a perfect solution with powered speakers.
